Hi, I'm Jen. I'm a student in my fifth year at Western Michigan University, studying English and Japanese. I am currently getting ready to go on an eleven month study abroad trip to Tokyo, Japan. I will be studying Japanese language at Keio University. In the future, I hope to teach English abroad in Japan.
<--- Here's me looking classy.
When I'm not busy with school, I'm busy being a student supervisor at the Valley 1 cafeteria on campus.
In my spare time I love reading, writing, walking my dog, hanging out with friends, and geeking out online.
Writing is something that has had a constant presence in my life, both in school and at home. I love stories, both telling them and enjoying how they are told. As you read through my narrative, you will see how I have used writing as a means to reach out into the world, making connections with people and building friendships that might otherwise have gone undiscovered.
This website is a project for my English 4790 class, but I hope it ends up being much more than that. I hope that I can introduce you to me, talk with you about what my varied experiences with writing have taught me, and entertain you with some fun ideas. Feel free to explore!
